The Shire Horse Stafford

The grand reopening of the Shire Horse Stafford happened on the 22nd April 2010, to which the Staffordshire Shire Horse Association were there to open the the pub to the public once again. The Shire Horse was closed for 10 days, during this time we underwent massive change to bring the love back to the pub and to pass this love onto our guests, We have opened the doors to a fresher building brighter walls and a more contemporary look but still managing to hold some of our original feel, even though we were built in 2002. We have extended our external seating area for the summer months when the weather is good enough to dine al fresco. To mark this landmark occasion for us we have also lunched a new menu as well for the summer period.

Being situated only 200 metres from the M6 junction 14 we a conveniently placed for those who are travelling by and also being situated off the A34 the access to the Shire could not be any easier.

We have three open fires which we use during the winter months to create the perfect atmosphere of a cosy pub. No matter when you come to the Shire whether its for a quick drink, a business lunch or a family get together, you will always be greeted with a friendly welcome from our team.

We have a bar stocked full of quality products, we have taken the time to choose what items suit our menus the best, this ranges from wines to our selection of premium beers and lagers.

We look for quality throughout our business and the way we ensure we deliver the best quality to our guests through our food we only employ chefs who have a real passion for food, like all Chef & Brewers the key to our business is delivering happiness to all of our guests, with a perfect team at the Shire, no matter what the occasion is we will make sure that it is perfect for you.

The Shire is the perfect stop off for those who are visiting the region we have a Premier Inn just next door and being situated only 30 minutes away form Alton Towers and other attractions in Staffordshire.
